Sara graduated from Winchester School of Art with a BA (hons) in Printed & Woven Textile Design and has three young children. Sara's recent collections include bold monochrome botanical lino prints on Japanese rice paper, hand-stiched re-cycled t-shirts in collaboration with friend and fellow mum, Elina McHardy and more recently silhouette art and portraiture.
Sara’s fascination with traditional craft methods began as a young girl growing up in the rural countryside of the Lune Valley in Lancashire, being an area rich in textile history , production and industry.
Where possible everything is hand produced and stitched, including custom made t-shirts which can be made up using treasured old remnants of fabric or sourced vintage fabrics sewn into an image of your choice.
Whilst training and after graduation, Sara enjoyed the opportunity to work with and gain experience from prestigious designers such as Neisha Crosland and Kaffe Fassett.
Recently Sara has exhibited work in The Picture Room, East Dulwich, London, Stark Gallery, Lee, London, the Tea & Make fetes and has worked on projects for Selvedge (magazine) and Homes & Antiques.
